So, NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month to the uninitiated) is almost upon us. 30 days of chaotic, messy, beautiful writing, as thousands of writers attempt to create a 50,000 word out of fresh air.
For the first time, I'm approaching this NaNoWriMo as a 'Pantser.' Whereas most sensible people approach this task with some planning, an outline maybe, some character profiles etc, I will be among those who, as midnight ushers in November, sit down with nothing more than caffeine fueled optimism.
Well, strictly speaking, I have a rough idea of what I want to write about, but I'll be as interested as anyone to find out what actually happens next.
And I can't wait, though I expect lots of procrastinating blog posts as I put off writing my daily 1,667 words.
